 | Financial support: In many ways, this website has been very successful - beyond our wildest hopes:
Unlike other religious web sites, we make all of our information available to everyone for free. That is the good news. The bad news is that we are operating on a shoestring. One large budgetary item is over $300 per month to CIHost, our Web Hosting service. (There are dozens of free or low cost web hosting services on the Web, but none can come near to handling our traffic.) A much larger cost are reference books for our library. We have only one part-time staff person who is paid a salary. Meanwhile, banner ads -- our largest source of revenue -- are becoming less effective, as Internet surfers train themselves to ignore ads. We are relying increasingly on people who feel that we have a needed message and who want to support us. | |||||||||||
| Proofreading: We feel that we do a reasonably good job researching topics and explaining
religious concepts. But we are among the world's worst proofreaders. We need
help from people who can spot typos, spelling and grammatical errors. | |||||||||||
| Conservative Christian reviewer: Finally, although we are a multi-faith group, we have never been able to attract a religious conservative to volunteer. We try to explain conservative beliefs accurately, but can certainly use help from persons willing to review our essays. |
